Meet Turing Cadenza smartphone (Wonder phone) With 1TB Memory, 12Gb RAM, 60MP shooter

This is one of the great smartphone we are expecting in 2017 and is currently turning the tech and mobile phone industry upside down. Imagine coming out at a time when Apple and Samsung boasted of having the best Smartphones in the world currently; iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy Note 7. It's a serious bad market for them as this 12GB RAM phone beat them down specs-wise completely.

It's worthy to note that the Smartphone codenamed Turing Cadenza is not the first device from the Turing Robotic Industry but this one is absolutely exceptional. Wondering what i might be doing with a 12GB RAM device on my hand.

The company's CEO Steve Chao said that the phone is part of the "The Outlander Blueprint" program which aims to integrate artificial intelligence into smartphones.

WhatsApp changes privacy terms.

WhatsApp changes privacy terms: what does it mean for users?

WhatsApp privacy change

If you are WhatsApp users by now you must have heard about the privacy changes that this world's biggest messaging app is making. On the face of it, it seems like a small change and will probably not affect bulk of your data and usage details that WhatsApp has. But there are some key bots of information that the company will now share with Facebook, which owns WhatsApp.

The reaction to this privacy change has been varied. Different people have reacted in a different, although the people seeing it as a not-so-nice move from WhatsApp are in majority. Now, before you worry -- or not worry -- about the privacy change, let's us explain what is happening and what are the implications, in six simple points:
  1. First, understand that WhatsApp is changing its privacy policy. The new privacy policy will allow it to "coordinate" Facebook as well as share the phone number of the users with the parent site. Now, sharing the number is clear. It means your WhatsApp number will be shared with facebook and if you have an account with Facebook this number will be used to connect your two accounts -- the Facebook account and the WhatsApp account. This will allow Facebook to "offer better friend suggestions and show you more relevant ads if you have an account with them".
  2. The "coordinate" part is not so clear. There can be a number of ways in which WhatsApp "coordinates" with Facebook. For now we can only guess what this co-ordination means but chances are that Facebook will probably have some insight into how you use WhatsApp and the company will then use this "insight" to offer you ads in Facebook timeline that might be relevant to you.
  3. The currently privacy change is only for some sort of data sharing between Facebook and WhatsApp. You still won't see banner advertisements on WhatsApp, similar to what you may see on other messaging app. Even if you see ads in WhatsApp in future, they will be native apps, something similar to the spam SMS, although given unpopular spam SMS are we have a feeling that WhatsApp won't go that route.
  4. So, what does mean for you? Two things. In terms of user experience, nothing will change on WhatsApp. The service will continue to offer the seamless and simple messaging experience. There won't be any intrusive ads. Not, for now. But in the background, things are changing. As noted earlier, some of your WhatsApp data will go to Facebook, including your phone number, and that means your user experience on Facebook change. Depending on information from WhatsApp, you may see different -- in Facebook's language, more relevant -- advertisements on your Facebook timeline.
  5. Should you freak about it? No, you should not. Most people have already given a lot and lot of data to Facebook. The website already has the phone numbers of most of its users. The data it gets from WhatsApp is going to be similar to the data you have already given to it. But be vary. For now, WhatsApp is saying that Facebook won't actually read the WhatsApp messages of its users. It cites the "end-to-end encryption" as a shield that guards user data from such practices. But don't rule it out. At the end of the day, WhatsApp has to make money and as a free service the only it can money is by advertisements. So keep an eye on how WhatsApp and Facebook are using the data that you are feeding into the app.
  6. Finally, if you don't feel all too comfortable with this arrangement between WhatsApp and Facebook, you can opt out of it. While accepting the new privacy policy, just uncheck that option where it says "share my data with Facebook". At least for now that would sever the link between the Facebook and WhatsApp for your phone number.

Google Set To Team Up With Ford To Build Self-Driving Cars In 2016

Interesting!! Google Set To Team Up With Ford To Build Self-Driving Cars In 2016

Google may not manufacture its own cars after all, but rather team up with Ford to build its self-driving vehicles.
The two companies will announce that they are pairing up to make piloted cars during next month’s Consumer Electronics Show, Yahoo Autos reports.
Although that report is still unverified, the Ford partnership could add validity.
Chances are good the scoop is true, however. In November, Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford Jr. said that the carmaker would need to pair with big tech companies in order to survive the coming series of revolutions facing the transportation industry.
If Google and Ford do team up, the move could signal that people inside Google realized that manufacturing a car from scratch was unfeasible — or at least far too costly. Rather than using Ford to make its own pod cars like the one pictured above. It’s instead likely that Google will just utilize Ford cars for its own aspirations.
In terms of a timeline, if the report is true, you can expect to see the fruits of this endeavor within a few years — if not sooner.
This likely won’t be the only pairing Google makes with a carmaker. Just as it has done with smartphone manufacturers, the company could become the brains behind all kinds of self-driving cars while it leaves the hardware to someone else.

No Need For Internet!! Google Announces Offline Navigation And Search On Google Maps

No Need For Internet!! Google Announces Offline Navigation And Search On Google Maps

Google Maps has rolled out a new offline mode allowing for driving directions and search, providing access to turn-by-turn directions and several other features in areas without a reliable cellular data or internet connection.
According to BBC reports, the new features will begin rolling out to Android users later on Tuesday, and Google says the iOS roll out will follow soon. Offline search and navigation was one of the biggest announcements, nearly six months later, that feature is finally reaching users.
The option to save certain areas has existed in Google Maps since 2012, but this is the first time they have been indexed for search and navigation. That means if you save the city you live in, you will be able to search for a place to have dinner and get a response without a cellular connection. Because of space constraints, the businesses stored will have names, star ratings, and phone numbers, but no photos or user reviews.
Similarly, directions will work from average traffic time rather than loading in real-time traffic data, although the route will update as soon as the connection is restored. The initial rollout does not include transit or walking directions, largely due to space considerations, but Google says those features will be added in the months to come.
The feature will be most useful for anyone navigating without a cellular connection, either in a dead zone or a foreign country that requires a second SIM. But project manager Amanda Bishop says even standard users will notice maps loading faster, because of the erratic nature of even the best data connections.
According to Google’s research, the average phone is offline for 10 percent of the day, much of which results from simple network congestion.

You Might Have To Start Paying A 9% Tax On Calls, Texts And Data

The Federal Government of Nigeria is proposing to introduce a bill called the Communication Service Tax CST bill, which seeks to levy 9 percent on subscribers for using various services such as voice call, SMS, MMS, data usage.

The Minister of Communication, Bayo Shittu, made this known on Wednesday while speaking at a function organized by the Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry, LCCI.

Tax on call, text and data

Shittu said, “The bill is considered as a way to help increase the revenue generation of the Federal Government.

Personally, I think passing the bill would be a wrong move because placing a 9% tax on calls, texts and data might increase tariff rates of calls and prices of data which have been gradually improving recently.

5 Stunning Ways To Get More Battery Life

Your mobile phone is perhaps your best companion probably because of the various things you do with it e.g. calls, checking mails, messages, gaming music, internet and more. But your interactions with all these things depends on how long the phone’s battery last, and you in-turn try all that you can to make sure you get more juice out of the battery.

This is definitely not the first time you are reading a blog post on how to safe/increase your phones battery life, which means you probably know some common ways to do it. But in this post, I will highlight some stunning and uncommon ways to help you get more juice out of your phones battery:

1. Enable Ad-blockers: This also helps to save battery life, time and data. Ads prolong the complete load of a webpage. It would take less time to load a webpage without ads than loading that same webpage with ads in it, This of course is because the browser has to waste more battery life, time and data in querying, waiting and downloading the additional data to be displayed as ads.

Although the querying, waiting and downloading of additional data to be displayed as ads happens in a matter of seconds, but when you multiply these seconds with the number of webpage you load in a day, that’s when you see the difference.

2. Disable app-lockers: These are battery drainers because they monitor most app activities on your phone. An effective app-locker always runs in the background so as to keep track of which and what app to give free access to. It continuous running in the background have a negative impact on the battery.

3. Use dark themes and wallpaper: If you have an oled screen display, then you can consider using dark themes and wallpaper because less power is required for the display. Unlike lcd, oled screen does not have a backlight which makes it more friendly to the battery.

4. Avoid complete discharge: Although your phone’s battery is set to decrease in performance with time, but factors like “complete discharge” helps speed up that time. Each time you completely discharge the battery, there’s a drop in the over-all battery voltage which in-turn reduce performance.

5. Avoid extreme temperatures: The negative effect of temperature on your battery need not to be over emphasized. The battery contains chemicals which are affected by high and low temperature. For effective performance, avoid too high and low temperature.

Important Tips on How to Effectively Access WhatsApp on Your Computer

Important Tips on How to Effectively Access WhatsApp on Your Computer

whatsapp-on-computer
If you’re busy at work and you feel like chatting with somebody on WhatsApp, you can do that on your computer with the aid of an app designed for that purpose.
The web service is compatible with WhatsApp mobile apps on Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Blackberry and Nokia’s S60 or S40 phones. Your phone also needs to have a rear-facing camera and WhatsApp has to be turned on.

Your computer must have a recent version of Chrome, Firefox, Opera, or Safari. WhatsApp Web does not support Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge.

Connecting your phone to computer
On your computer, visit <http://web.whatsapp.com/>. (Bookmark the address if you’re going to use it often.) A bar code will appear with instruction to scan the code with your phone WhatsApp.

Now, switch back to your phone. You’ll need to open the WhatsApp Web function. Here are the procedures for the various mobile operating systems, starting from the main WhatsApp screen:

Android: Tap the Menu button, then tap “WhatsApp Web.”
iOS: Tap the Settings tab, then tap “WhatsApp Web.”

Windows Phone: Tap the Menu button, then tap “WhatsApp Web.”

Blackberry 9 or older: Tap “Chats,” then “Menu,” then “WhatsApp Web.”

Blackberry 10: Swipe down from the top of the main screen and tap “WhatsApp Web.”

Nokia S60: Tap the menu button, then tap “WhatsApp Web.”

Nokia S40: Swipe up from the bottom of the main screen and tap “WhatsApp Web.”
Your app will then open a screen with a camera window. Point your phone’s camera on your computer screen and align it so that the QR code is centred on the window. Within a second or two, the web app will authenticate, and your account and contacts will appear on the primary WhatsApp Web screen.
If you click the “keep me signed in” option on the login page, you should be able to close and open the web interface for as long as your desktop browser session is active and as long as the mobile app stays active on your phone. If you’re logged out, just repeat the
steps above.

Using WhatsApp Web
WhatsApp Web works more or less the same way that it does on your phone. The primary screen shows a list of all the chats you’re currently engaged in on your phone (or any other devices).

To start a new chat, click the text message icon in the left column and either click one of the contact names or start typing in the “Search Contacts” field. Your chat itself will appear in the right-hand side, and you can switch between any of them at any time.
Any message you send will be sent immediately to your contact’s phone, or any other device they happen to be using (including WhatsApp Web).
Enable browser notifications
If you will like to see new text messages come in even when you don’t have the WhatsApp Web tab or window active, you can enable browser notifications. These will appear as small alerts in the corner of your screen. When you first open WhatsApp Web, you should see a message in blue just beneath your profile photo with the words “Get notified of new notifications.” Click the link below and follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
If you want to disable or re-enable desktop notifications, click the menu button in the WhatsApp Web interface, then click “Notifications.”
